About Burntwoods
The United States Pony Clubs, Inc., develops character, leadership, confidence and a sense of community in youth through a program that teaches the care of horses and ponies, riding and mounted sports.
Burntwoods Pony Club was established in 2001 as a member of the United States Pony Clubs in the Maryland Region. Most of our members are from Howard, Carroll and Frederick Counties. Most of our mounted activities take place in the Woodbine/Mt. Airy area, Howard County, and at area cross country schooling venues. Our 2021 members include boys and girls of all ages and adult members, with current ages from 4 to 66, with ratings from D1 to A. We are a very active club, and our members compete in Quiz, Dressage, Show Jumping, Eventing, Tetrathlon, Games and Polocrosse. We also have year-round discounted mounted lessons with excellent instructors, unmounted meetings and social events. Fun and friendship while becoming better horsemen is the theme for both our youth and horsemasters members! Check the Calendar and News links to find out more.
